Sonni Sturm, a stunning solid white German Shepherd Dog, hails from Balog Ranch, located just west of Fort Worth. Born to Thor and Xena on May 3rd, 2022, Sonni soon became a cherished member of Timothy and Mary’s family. After discovering that their family was allergic to cats, they decided to adopt another dog. With their positive experience raising a German Shepherd, it was an easy choice to adopt another one. They contacted Balog Ranch, and after much deliberation, they selected a white female pup, naming her Sonni.
Sonni’s extraordinary intelligence is evident in her quick learning. Despite primarily being an outdoor dog, she mastered potty training in no time. She even taught herself how to operate the back door when the locks weren’t engaged, allowing her to go in and out as she pleased. Still young and energetic, Sonni has always been gentle and considerate with Timothy and Mary’s young children.
Due to Sonni’s impressive pedigree and unique genetics, it was decided early on that she would be allowed to breed with Shadow, the family’s other German Shepherd. To ensure her health and well-being, Sonni was closely monitored throughout her growth. After her first heat in the fall of 2022, she was temporarily separated from Shadow to prevent a first-heat pregnancy. Once the season had passed, Sonni was reintroduced to Shadow, and in the early months of 2023, she conceived her first litter.
